Igbo Community Elects Raycom CEO President In Delta

A business mogul and Chief Executive Director of Raycom, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Olorogun Raymond Anozie has been elected and sworn as the president of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo (Igbo Community Association), Ughelli North chapter with the charged to continually promote Igbo culture, interest and hospitality.
Olorogun Raymond Anozie was sworn as president alongside his cabinet members which includes, Ogbuefi Sir Roy Enekwenchi, Vice, Ejiogu Tochukwu, Secretary, Omaka Okouche, PRO., Mr. Cypril Agudosi, Chief Provost and Chukwudi Ike, Provost 1.
Others are, Elijah Chukwu, Treasurer, Mr Samuel Nwobodo Assistant Secretary, while Ikechukwu Ezimofor and Emeka Nwaogu, Financial Secretary and Social Welfare respectively.
In his acceptance speech during the event in Ughelli, Olorogun Raymond Anozie said, “While I am humbled and honored to be entrusted with the responsibility of leading our Igbo Community Association, in Ughelli, it is a call to service.
“It is a call to action, a mandate to serve our community with unwavering dedication and integrity as it is not merely a position to authority.
“In our administration, we will ensure that we build Igbo Town Hall, as a centre of gathering of our people and cultural displays. Protecting the interest of the Igbo people in self determination and unwavering belief, contribute to the overall development of Ughelli  and expand our membership before the end of our administration.” He listed.
On his part, the out gone president, Chuks Okonkwo held that though his administration was not void of challenges, he acknowledged the unflinching support and loyalty of his executive and the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, Igbo Community Association.
“We were ravaged by the Covid-19, Endsars protest, wind storm on our building project and above all, the cordial working relationship with the people was intact as our administration resolved issues between members and none members brought before our notice.”
